Late Bottle Vintage (LBV) Ports are crafted from premium grapes hand-picked in a single harvest from the Douro Valley. They were first marketed by Taylor's Alistair Robertson in 1970 ready to drink superior Ports. Working with Taylor's David Guimaraens we select the best lots for M&S LBV Port following 4 and 6 years of ageing in large wooden casks to develop harmony and complexity. It is ready to drink BUT having had minimal handling to retain all its succulent scent, the wine may throw a harmless sediment which can be removed by careful decanting. It will keep 5 years. Best enjoyed within 3 months of opening.
